The SGV's First Green Schools Tour Is a Wrap.

The Green Schools Tour has wrapped, and we are so grateful. Thank you to every school that opened its gates, every native garden and outdoor classroom that told its own story, and every practitioner, student, volunteer, and partner who showed up and made the day possible. What you have built matters. The SGV is greener because of you.

See you next year!

About Green Schools Tour

About the Green Schools Tour

The Green Schools Tour brought together some of the greenest, most innovative school campuses in the San Gabriel Valley and Northeast LA. On Saturday, May 2, five sites opened their gates from 9 am to 1 pm for a free, self-guided morning of exploration.

Visitors picked their own adventure, stopping at one site or making the full rounds. Hosts were on hand at each location to welcome guests, answer questions, and show people around. Several sites offered special activities and programming throughout the morning.

It was a rare chance to see firsthand how schools are transforming their campuses into living classrooms, native gardens, and community gathering spaces. Thank you to everyone who came out and to every school that made it possible.
