Green schoolyards are coming to the SGV — and you're invited.
Something green is growing in the San Gabriel Valley.
The Green Schools Tour is a new annual event celebrating schools and campuses across the region that are reimagining what a schoolyard can be. Think native gardens, shade trees, and outdoor classrooms designed with students, communities, and the environment in mind.
Join us on Saturday, May 2, for free self-guided tours of some of the coolest green school campuses in NELA and the SGV. Each site will be open from 9 am to 1 pm.
About Green Schools Tour
About the Green Schools Tour
The Green Schools Tour is a free, self-guided tour of some of the greenest, most innovative school campuses in the San Gabriel Valley and Northeast LA. On Saturday, May 2, multiple sites will be open from 9 am to 1 pm for you to explore at your own pace.
Pick your own adventure: visit one site or all of them. Hosts will be present at each location to welcome you, answer questions, and show you around. Some sites will also offer special activities and programming throughout the morning.
This is a rare chance to see firsthand how schools are transforming their campuses into living classrooms, native gardens, and community gathering spaces — and to get inspired by what's possible when schools invest in their students, their neighborhoods, and the environment.
